Well, what an adventure!
It is now 3:40pm and we have finally arrived back at school after getting our boxes. Apparently 3.5 hours to clear customs is a school record. A missing code meant that the shipping company sent three teams to search an entire warehouse for our boxes. Imagine trying to buy a toaster from Argos and having to search the entire place to find it. And that's not all... on several occasions we went to the warehouse entrance and stood in 35 degree heat for 20 minutes to merely look at our boxes (when they had finally been found) before we were whisked away for more paperwork.
At least now I can feel more at home having received my post-it notes and pillows. It will be worth the wait when I get to decant my pink trays on to my desk.
Weekend tomorrow, work starts on Saturday.
