So, it's Wednesday already, sunny and hot. Again. (Not missing the rain as yet!)
So far we have been in school since 7:45am waiting to retrieve our boxes from the cargo section at the airport. It's now 10:15, and I have just had a call to say that our passports have now been retrieved from wherever they had gone for validating whichever piece of paperwork. Now we wait for the driver.
Yesterday saw more shopping and a new supermarket experience - Lu Lu. An absolute find for us veggie types, we are quite impressed.
We also had our first beach trip. It lasted all of around 5 minutes. The phrase 'mad dogs and Englishmen' springs to mind. I tried to paddle in the sea, but made around six steps out of the shade before deciding that yes, the sand was far too hot to walk on and yes, the soles of my feet were burning. Not an experience to repeat before purchasing suitable footwear.
