2 week anniversary already!

We appear to have been here for 2 weeks already!  So many exciting things have happened and so much has changed.  We have settled really well into our new country and are enjoying life so much that it feels like we have been here for an eternity.

Day 2 of classes and all seems to be going well.  I keep getting hassled about when homework will be set. An unusual phenomenon, but I shall oblige once homework diaries have appeared.

Appartment now sparkling after the whole evening spent mopping floors and cleaning bathrooms - more people for dinner on Tuesday, didn't want them to get dirty feet from the dusty floor. Where's the Dyson when you need it? Also need a new ironing board... how's that for a return to normality after spending the weekend on the beach?!

Not much else to say for today, other than thanks to everyone for their messages from the UK - they are very much appreciated! Especially when they mention BBQ plans and August weather because it reminds us that we have not seen a hint of rain since arriving, and although I seem to have stopped being surprised that it is sunny when we wake up, neither of us are complaining!  I do, however, appear to have begun waking up thinking that the noise from the air conditioning is torrential rain.  Now that's a pleasant surprise when it turns out not to be.

  3. Hi Jo & Beth,
First time I have looked at the blog since you left and glad you r having such a good time. Design of the blog looks lovely :) much brighter. We actually went to a BBQ today and it was sunny so its not all bad, but doesn't quite make up for getting rained on during each of our three walks in the peak district a couple of weeks ago! Anyway, keep us posted, I am jealous about the food (and cost!) sounds great, hope jobs going well,

    Love Chris xxx
